John and Meg have already started getting ready for the 2017 NSW Variety Bash. The Bash will leave from Belmore in Sydney on Thursday 3rd August and travel to the overnight stops of Bourke, Thargomindah, Blackall, Winton, Mt Isa, Tennant Creek, Katherine, Jabiru and finishing in Buffalo Creek (Darwin) on Sunday 13th August.
The Bash is a celebration of the hard work in fundraising and preparing the car. You can help them in their fundraising efforts for the special needs children of Variety by donating now at their fundraising page, click here!
Since their first joint Bash in 1998, as part of a corporate team, Meg continued to participate in the event, buying her own car, Car 70, a 1962 Valiant, with an all-female crew. John joined her again for her 10th Bash. That was back in 2007 and he was hooked. 2017 will be John’s 8th Bash and Meg’s 17th. Collectively they have raised now in excess of $300,000 for Variety. John was also made a Variety Ambassador. Their Holden WB ute is the fourth Bash car!
