Col Watson – Back On The Road
Col Watson, a legend amongst guitarists, had his first gig with country music when he was hired by Slim Dusty in the early 1970s. After fifteen years off the road, Col agreed to tour again with John on the ’40 Years True Blue’ Tour. Col is seen here with his newly acquired Maton small bodied guitar. He says the BG808 has given him a new lease of life because it’s so easy to play and has its own great character already. Thanks to Linda, Neville and Mark at Maton for giving Col such a great deal.
John’s favourite stage guitar is also a Maton with rosewood back and sides and a Brazilian spruce top.
Col’s is all Australian wood; Australian black wood with a spruce top.
