‘Voice of the Sea’ ARIA

Not long after John had his hands in cement for the Australia Zoo ‘Walk of Fame’ yesterday, his song ‘Voice of the Sea’ was awarded an ARIA award in Sydney for the ‘Best Use of an Australian Recording in an Advertisement (over 2 minutes). John was asked by the Australian Marine Conservation Society to write a song for a campaign late last year and the song was released on 18th November 2022.

It was a big day for conservation as not only did John perform at Australia Zoo for Steve Irwin Day, but winning the ARIA award topped it off. John and Meg were both incredibly proud and so pleased for the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS).

Penguin Random House have been working on turning ‘Voice of the Sea’ into a hardback children’s picture book as well and it will be published on 30 January 2024. We can’t wait for that to happen.
