The 42nd Country Music Awards of Australia heralded a sensational comeback for Sara Storer after a six year break from song writing. Her Lovegrass album won Album of the Year and Sara was acknowledged as Female Artist of the Year. Her duet with John Williamson of her song Pozie was awarded Vocal Collaboration of the Year for 2014.

John, who has been a mentor for Sara throughout her career, was very pleased for her. “She was born just up the road from where I was born and I’m just so proud of her,” he said. “Every time she picks me to do a song with her, we win a Golden Guitar.” It was to be John’s 25th Golden Guitar. His first dating back almost three decades with the 1985 Song of the Year award for Queen In The Sport Of Kings.
